It was bad enough when the pictures are years/decade old which shouldn't be used either. You could always reach out to people to take a personal one. Now you guys put up images with masks? Stupid.
Hi Wadvann! Thank you, I'm glad someone else is pointing this out. I, too, found it jarring to see a masked image on a bio, and I appreciate your similar reaction. I believe it is most appropriate to use a full-faced image for recognizability purposes. However, the only other one on Wikimedia is, as you mentioned, from the dawn of the Stone Age (circa 2006). We definitely need a new image, pronto. I personally have elementary experience correctly adding images to Wikimedia but I would appreciate if another editor can help add one. If fair use screenshots are allowed, here are a couple of interviews featuring Raphael. Hope someone can help. --Evedawn99 (talk) 03:15, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Why don't you two take some initiative and reach out to his agency? Surely it's in their vested interest to provide a decent image with CC rights. 61.68.48.253 (talk) 21:26, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
